What happens in the room

Your therapist selects from these techniques based on your assessment. Most sessions combine hands-on treatment with corrective exercise you take back into the gym.

  • Dry Needling

Dry needling uses a thin monofilament needle to penetrate the skin and treat underlying musculoskeletal injuries, improve blood flow, restore collagen formation and decrease pain.

  • Therapeutic Cupping

Cupping places cups on the skin to create suction, which helps improve microcirculation at the site of treatment and increases blood flow to the body. Cupping can assist the body's ability to combat pain, decrease inflammation, mobilize scar tissue and promote recovery.

  • Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization

A form of manual therapy where the therapist mobilizes soft tissue using instruments to improve soft tissue restrictions. It is considered deep tissue work and is more intense than regular soft tissue mobilization.

  • Myofascial Release

Hands-on soft tissue work to treat connective tissue restrictions, eliminate pain and restore motion. Myofascial release varies from gentle, sustained pressure to more intense, local trigger point therapy.

  • TheraGun

A form of percussive therapy using a handheld massage device to treat muscle soreness and relieve pain. It is often used between workouts to promote recovery.

  • Kinesio Tape

KT tape helps to inhibit pain, facilitate motion and support joints through specific tension. You can wear it before, during or after workouts.

  • Joint Mobilization

A skilled manual therapy technique to improve motion and mitigate pain. Your therapist applies gentle pressure to a specific segment of the body to help improve mobility.
