Pick your flavour of hard

Cardio equipment rotates every Saturday — Ski Erg, Rower or Echo Bike — so the stimulus keeps changing while your strength keeps building.

BCF® Strength

Great for all levels

During BCF® Strength we focus specifically on strength as well as strength endurance, using dumbbells, bands, kettlebells and sometimes barbells.

Although there is no traditional cardio — no cardio machines are used — you can expect functional cardio through equipment like med balls, boxes and bodyweight exercises.

These classes are fast-paced lifting with a decent amount of CORE, and you can usually expect a total-body focused workout. You will often have the instructor work out WITH you to help push you to the next level. Fairly low impact.

BCF® Cardio & Strength

Great for all levels

Each week we change out the selected cardio equipment — every Saturday we switch — which may include the Ski Erg, the Rower or the Echo Bike.

In every class you can expect a portion of the workout on the cardio machine of the week, a strength portion (usually about 50/50) and a CORE portion, using everything from dumbbells and medicine balls to bands and kettlebells.

Some classes are sprint based with shorter pushes; others are endurance based with longer conditioning pushes. What sets these workouts apart from other gyms is our signature “GOAL BASED” sections.

BCF® Barbell MetCon

Intermediate, but great for all levels

Our barbell class offers a high portion of barbell and dumbbell strength style exercises and circuits, as well as metabolic conditioning using bikes, skiers, rowers and — from time to time, weather permitting — short runs.

Never used a barbell before? No problem. Let us teach you.

BCF® AMRAP Strength & Conditioning

Great for all levels

AMRAP S&C is all about pushing yourself for a max of 6–7 minutes at a time. Each workout consists of 4 to 5 different sets of 2 exercises — usually one cardio and one resistance — with a prescribed number of reps done for 6 to 7 minutes.

Once you finish those two exercises for the allotted time, you have one minute to move to the next set. Push with heavy weights on the strength piece, move with purpose, then power through fast on the cardio.

Every month we choose one exercise to repeat in all AMRAP classes so you can keep getting stronger and track your progress.

BCF® Cross Training

Intermediate to advanced, all levels welcome

In Cross Training you learn in-depth form on all exercises before the workout, then get ready to challenge yourself and complete the workout prescribed by the instructor.

A time cap may be given, or a finishing point programmed as a goal. Expect distances on rowers, skiers and bikes mixed with high-volume total body reps, and sometimes short outdoor runs (weather permitting, with modifications for those who cannot run).

These workouts can also include a beginning strength aspect with time limits involved.

BCF® Outdoor Bootcamp

Seasonal — usually May through September

All Outdoor Bootcamps are held in the area of Government Center or One Center Plaza. Class meets INSIDE BronCore at 42 Court St., so you can drop your belongings and grab the equipment you need for that day's workout.

Each workout is 50 minutes and involves some equipment — usually a dumbbell, kettlebell, med ball or bands. These sessions are a little more cardio based and involve a lot of quick movement.
